In this course, students will be trained in very advanced concepts in all 5 nadais of the 4 basic thalams - Aadhi, Rupakam, Misra Chapu and Kanta Chapu. These concepts include advanced pharan based and non-pharan based sollu kattu patterns, advanced maekkaala (fast) nadais, korvais etc. Students will be initiated into playing the advanced thalams from the 35 thala charkra and the course also includes some accompaniment training.

Prerequisites

Students are expected to have completed Intermediate Level in Mridangam i.e. play atleast 3 thalams fluently.

Course Goals

Advanced kanta, thisra, misra and chathusra nadais. Advanced Korvais, Maekaala nadais, sollukattu variations. Any 1 or 2 of the Advanced thalams. Accompaniment training.

The system has an in-built video call classroom that works on the all major browsers. All you need is a laptop/desktop with camera and microphone attached and any one of the above mentioned browsers installed.
If you wish you take the classes on your phone, you can use the Sculr app. Sculr App is available both on Android and iOS.
There are basically two ways to get started with the classes. Live 1-to-1 or a Shared Slot. In case of LIVE 1-to-1, you can click the Enrol button below, tell us your time preferences i.e. when you will be free to take up the classes. We will allocate you a Teacher and Timeslot based on your preferences.
For Shared slots, you can click on the Teachers tab above, click the instructor you are interested in and select a timeslot that suits you and complete enrollment.
It again depends on what learning option you chose. For 1-to-1 lessons, it is usually 3500 INR - 4500 INR per month based on the Teacher and Timeslot we allocate. For Shared slots, you can view the exact fee amount right next to the slot in the Teachers Tab above.
