V. Venkataraman is a prime disciple of Guru Shri. Dr. Prapancham Ravindran, who is a veteran in the field of Mridangam and a top ranked percussionist. He is a young talented Mridangist, currently performing in concerts at many elite sabhas and venues all over India. He has also shared the stage with legendary artists like Shri Kalaimamani R.Raman, Ghatam Dr. Karthick , Shri K.R. Saranathan and he has also won in numerous competitions. He is a dedicated teacher who has trained over 100 students from all over the world with more than 4 yrs of teaching experience. Venkataraman is also a Mechanical Engineer by profession.
